New in 2017! The valorisation of the valley of the Vilaine allowed the inauguration of new cycling itineraries in the cities of Bruz, Chavagne, Laillé, Le Rheu, Rennes, Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande and Vezin-le-Coquet. More than 125 km of paths and trails await you in a natural preserved landscape.

We suggest you enjoy your stay in Rennes to discover the itinerary from Rennes to Laillé - 45 km - 4h30
For this 45 km long path, follow the red sign for the main itinerary. But if you prefer to take your time, you can choose one of the 7 loops of 1 or 2h, following the purple signs. A global map is available at the Tourist Office of Rennes.
Here is an overview of your ride
Access quickly to La Vilaine from the centre of Rennes by following the quays and the towpath. Enjoy the bucolic path beginning with the edge of the ponds of Apigné then follwed by castles, mills and flowered locks!
As the path progresses, the relief of the valley becomes clearer and you will be rewarded of all your efforts with a splendid views on the river near the Moulin du Boël. Let's take the time for taking photos along the ponds or forests, like Le Bois de Cicé. Enjoy the charm of the barges, canoes, kayaks and paddles on one side, and, on the other side, the horses and cows.
